Today 3xP Global announces a new milestone in our mission to drive social and environmental change. Through our Impact Innovation Fund (IIF), we have officially invested in Mezze Lda, a pioneering social enterprise born from the visionary work of the Associação Pão a Pão.
Since its inception in 2017, the Mezze project has been a beacon of innovation in Portugal. By providing training and employment to Middle Eastern refugees, primarily women, Mezze has successfully used gastronomy as a bridge for cultural exchange and social inclusion. After eight years of proven success as a self-sustaining social project, Mezze is now evolving into a corporate structure designed for growth and systemic impact.
This investment marks a strategic shift toward scalability, the project aims to multiply its impact and foster deeper integration for migrant communities across Portugal. 3xP Global and Mezze partnership ensures that while the business grows, its core mission remains protected.
For 3xP Global, this investment represents more than just capital; it is a commitment to a proven model of social innovation. "This investment, of which we are very proud, aims to scale a local solution with proven impact, reinforcing Mezze's growth at both national and international levels and positioning it as a global reference in social innovation," says Rita Branco, Board Member and Impact Investments at 3xP Global.
Nuno Mesquita, Manager at Mezze, views this as the most significant moment in the project’s history. “In 2017, there was the courage to promote an idea; in 2025, there is the certainty that the idea was a winner in both form and purpose. The expansion plan now underway with the support of 3xP Global is the culmination of years of work and the integration of many migrant people.”
While guests at the original Mezze restaurant will still enjoy the same high-quality flavors and authentic hospitality they have come to love, big changes are happening behind the scenes. The goal of this investment is to multiply the Mezze concept across new locations, creating more opportunities for migrant individuals to share their culture, identity, and talents with their host communities.

The investment was made under the Venture Capital program of the Capitalization and Resilience Fund (PRR), led by the Banco Português de Fomento.
